The fact that people take photos whatever activity they do, especially make social media posts about their physical fitness and workout regiments is really ...true. There is research revealed some interesting conclusions regarding people who take photos and make social media posts about their physical fitness and workout regiments that may actually be suffering from narcissism. However, I think people whom the research called “suffering from narcissism”, they might be healthier than one who blames them and does zero exercises.
I would like to create the equipment that mimics this human behavior and celebrate for those who keep exercise and no shame for taking photos when they are at the gym.
#WorkOutLoud exercise equipment was intentionally made to be photogenic exercise equipment with the color of lights. And whenever someone works out with the pulley or weight lifting and make acrylic weight bars reach its sensor, it will pull up some random captions from a random post about exercise on Instagram.
Installing force-sensor to get data when the audience interacts with the piece (lifting up the bar). The sensor will send data via Arduino to Processing.
